Our lips are one of the thinnest pieces of sensitive skin in our body, and it is very important to protect it. It may easily get too dry or swollen up and easily bleeds just by unintentionally biting it. Our lips may be damaged by the sun or the cold weather or by not wearing the right kind of lipstick. So how do we protect it?
In some countries, the cold air/ winter can be a very dangerous time for our lips. The cold dry air could make our lips a lot tighter by that time. Since it is very delicate and thin, we have to be very careful in taking care of it.
Most people tend to lick their lips whenever it is dry but somehow, this is very wrong. Once you lick your lips, it actually dries it up even more which is caused by our saliva. We can instead use lip-balm or lip moisturizers for it to stay moist. We also need to avoid brushing our lips whenever it is peeling. Most people use their brushes and brush it on their lips. Some people use that tip but it is somehow very dangerous for our lips.
Before going to bed, make sure that you have removed the lipstick or lip gloss that you have used since again our lips are very delicate and the products/cosmetics that we use might infect our lips if we do not remove it. You can apply lip balm before going to bed and wake up to a moist healthy looking lip!
